Shri Sankat Mochan Hanuman Mandir

Godavari Dham Temple, essentially a Hanuman (Balaji) Temple (Hanumant Kunj) with attractive Entrance Gate, is situated beside the swiftly flowing River Chambal at city KOTA in the Indian state of RAJASTHAN.
Godavari Dham Temple is located at 4 kms away from Kota city and just 2.4 kms away from Kota airport. Kota railway station is 9.3 kms away from Godavari Dham and Dakaniya Talaav railway station is at 4.7 kms away. One can get articulate and deluxe bus services to Kota at regular timings from Jaipur, which takes about five hours to reach the city.
Tuesday and Satureday are the special days of Godavari Dham Temple, as these days are dedicated to Lord Hanuman. On these especially days, many people visit the temple to attend a special midnight Aarti for taking blessings of the God Hanuman. Besides the idol of Lord Hanuman, there are many other smaller idols of other Hindu Gods and Goddesses found in Godavari Dham Temple. One can see the idols of Lord Shiva, Ganpati and Bhairav also in the temple.
Godavari Dham Temple, which is mostly rocky and open, has been constructed on a large area. This temple, made up of white marbles, is a beautiful shrine in Kota and it has two quite high and impressive marble towers. One can see the Huge marble SWAN built at the top of the Entrance Gate of Godavari Dham Temple. Many devotees come here to visit the Chambal Aarti that takes place near the river bed.
Lots of pilgrims as well as tourists visit this temple every year.
