Shree Kashtabhanjan Dev Hanumanji Mandir

One time Aksharmukt GOPALANAND SWAMI had arrived in the village of Botad. At that time the chief of Sarangpur who was VAGHA KHACHAR went to Botad to do darshan of Swami.
Gopalanand Swami asked to Vagha Khachar, “how is going Darbaar? Are you happy or not?
Vagha Khachar replied, “Oh Swami, we have two droughts (सूखा-अकाल). The first one being that for three years it hasn’t rained even once. Secondly, we do not have the darshan of great saints such as you. In this way we have two droughts not one swami, please do help us.”
Then after going in deep meditation for a short while Swami spoke, “Oh chief, what if we consecrate someone from which saints will always reside in your village? Then you will have no problems.”
In this way Swami showered (उदारतापूर्वक) great affection (प्रीति-प्रेम) upon the chief and gave the orders to make the idol of Shree Hanumanji Maharaj. In Samvat 1905 (In year 1848) Aaso vad pancham the idol was ready and with the Vedic rituals (अनुष्ठान) it was consecrated (प्रतिष्ठित).
Aksharmukt Yogiraaj Shri Gopalanand Swami after consecrating (प्रतिष्ठा) Shri Hanumanji Maharaj at Sarangpur has got rid (छुटकारा) of the troubles of millions of people so known as Kashtbhanjandev (Crusher of Sorrows- कष्ट-भंजन (दुःख-भंजन) देव).

Shree Kashtabhanjan Dev Hanumanji Mandir

Shri Hanuman Mandir, Sarangpur is a Hindu temple located in Sarangpur village under BOTAD district in the Indian state of GUJARAT and comes under the Vadtal Gadi of Shree Swaminarayan Sampraday. It is dedicated to Lord Hanuman in the form of Kashtbhanjandev (Crusher of sorrows).
The image of Lord Hanumanji was installed by Sadguru Gopalanand Swami. It is reported that when Sadguru Gopalanand Swami installed the idol of Hanumanji, he touched it with a rod and the image came alive and moved. This story has become a charter for the healing ritual performed at this temple.
The idol of this temple is said to be so powerful that a mere look at it will drive the evil spirits out of the people affected by them. Saturday is the designated day for a special ritual (as Saturday is dedicated to Lord Hanuman) for those affected by mental illnesses and other disorders. They are brought to the temple to be touched by the rod used by Sadguru Gopalanand Swami during the installation ceremony of the image. This rod has now been covered in silver. After this, the person affected is instructed to circumambulate the shrine and to chant the following Hanuman Mantra while doing this:-
II ॐ नमो हनुमते भयभंजनाय सुखं कुरु फट् स्वाहा II

Shree Kashtabhanjan Dev Hanumanji Mandir

Kashtbhanjandev Hanumanji at Sarangpur is famous around all over India and World for expelling Spirits and Ghosts from the people plagued with such problems. This was due to the blessing of Sadguru Gopalanand Swami to Vagha Khachar, who invoked Hanumanji with his wand, to be ever present in the idol to drive out such Evils. The kind Gopalanand Swami helped Vagha Khachar with such blessing as he readily served Saints and Devotees offering them hospitality. As a result his income had dwindled, Swami therefore decided to help him by installing the idol of Hanumanji hence providing strong source of income, which facilitated him to continue to render service to Saints and Devotees. Later on he dedicated the income permanently to the temple at Gadhpur (Now Gadhada). This service continues today as hundreds of people come to Sarangpur at the feet of Lord Hanumanji to be rid of such problems.
